Ed Bok Lee
Ed Bok Lee’s first book, REAL KARAOKE PEOPLE: POEMS & PROSE, won a 2006 PEN/Beyond Margins Award, an Asian American Literary Award, an Urban Griots Best Book Award, and a Many Voices Prize at New Rivers Press. He attended schools in South Korea, North Dakota, Minnesota, Kazakhstan, and California, where he studied Slavics at UC Berkeley, and holds an MFA from Brown University. Lee is a former grand slam poetry champion of North Dakota, as well as the author of several plays, and has recited his poems throughout the U.S., Asia, and Europe, as well as for radio and TV, including MTV.
