Four non-profit organizations have been awarded grants from the Dutchess County Bar Association Fund totaling $2,000. Funding priority is given to enhance public understanding of the law and how it works, and support increased delivery of legal services to those who cannot afford them.

Catholic Charities Community Services of the Archdiocese of NY $275
Funding support to coordinate and facilitate workshops for local human service providers on legal issues and public policies impacting immigrants in Dutchess County.
Dutchess County Bar Association $350
Support for the Mock Trial Program, an annual tournament coordinated by the New York State Bar Association and sponsored locally by the Dutchess County Bar Association.
Jewish Community Center of Dutchess County $375
The 4th Senior Law Day seminar will focus on senior's legal rights and responsibilities relative to investments and pensions.
Mediation Center of Dutchess County, Inc. $1,000
The Teen Mediator Career Project will engage teens in the REAL SKILLS after school program by training them to become mediators as well as learning about mediation's relevance to the legal community.
